Three young people from the Northern area of Hull have won a competition following the recent opening of a city park.
Shaw Park, located on the Orchard Park estate, was officially opened on 20 July with over 2,000 people going along to celebrate.
As part of the activities on the day, Hull Citysafe’s anti social behaviour team ran a competition for children and young people, in which they were challenged to draw a picture or write a story about what they think about anti social behaviour in the city.
The prize draw competition received a great response with 97 entries from children aged 4 up to 16 years.
The winner of the competition was Jack Marrow of 31st Avenue and his take on the problems with loud noise in the city. Jack won a £10 HMV voucher and a Hollywood Bowl voucher for him and five friends.
Chantelle Burton, of 31st Avenue, and Stacey Evender, of Palm Court, won second and third place. Chantelle looked at the problem of littering and Stacey highlighted a range of different problems such as graffiti, vandalism, loud music and littering. Chantelle and Stacey each won a voucher for HMV and Hollywood Bowl vouchers for themselves and three friends.
At the park opening, the Citysafe stall, which was staffed by the anti social behaviour team, had around 200 visitors with 25 personal attack alarms to adults and 15 handbag alarms given away.
Chris Cook, anti social behaviour enforcement officer, said: "The response we had with our stall was fantastic and gave us the chance to talk to a large number of people, including young people about what we do.
"The competition entries showed that that the children and young people understood the wide range of issues which can be seen to be anti social and the effects it can have on a community."
